LN-TUE MSN 29091 / 230
Together with it's sister-ship LN-TUG, LN-TUE left in Mid 2003 for new life with Virgin Blue. The aircraft was not painted into the colours of the new Operator Virgin Blue. In early 2005, the Aussie career of "TUE" was ended and the aircraft went to China to serve with Chang An Airlines, a subsidiary of Hainan Airlines. Hainan was due to take the lease already in 2001, but a sharp drop in demand ended these plans and the aircraft went to Virgin Blue for two years. |

LN-TUG MSN 29092 / 260
After only 2 years of service, LN-TUG left Braathens' fleet in the aftermath of the tragedy of September 11th 2001. "TUG" was stored at Sola in January 2002 Demand for air traffic was so low that it took more than 1 year to find a new operator. Corrosion began to take its toll on the aircraft. Finally, the aircraft went to serve "down under" with Virgin Blue and is currently in service with Chang An Airlines in China. |
